A brief guide to hot springs, dining, and travel directions.
Located just a 5-minute drive from the heart of Kurokawa Onsen, Ryokan Sankō sits amidst forests where the murmurs of the Chikugo River’s headwaters can be heard, surrounded by nothing but nature. Here, quiet and leisurely time flows. We offer 16 Japanese-style rooms, including rooms with private indoor baths and detached cottages. We take pride in our two private natural hot spring sources: a simple sulfur spring and a sodium chloride-bicarbonate spring, both flowing freely into our baths. Within our 3000-tsubo grounds, we offer seven distinct baths, including barrel baths and private rental baths. Sankō’s greatest charm is its unspoiled, abundant nature— enjoy a stay in harmony with nature.
