Chishakuin, the head temple of the Shingon Chisan sect, is located in Kyoto’s Higashiyama district. Chishakuin Kaikan is the temple lodging within its grounds.

Chishakuin Kaikan, beloved by guests for nearly 50 years since 1966, has been reborn with a fresh new look due to the aging of the building.

Breakfast features traditional Japanese cuisine centered around Chishakuin’s signature “Nerogashi” soup, with vegetarian options also available.
The following morning, join the early-rising monks for Chishakuin’s “Morning Service,” experiencing a rare moment beyond the ordinary.
