Nestled on the shores of Oshidori Pond, Azuma-en offers lavish guest rooms and direct-flow hot spring baths with views as beautiful as a Japanese painting. Designed with the theme of relaxation and tranquility, every guest room—from its ambiance and furnishings to its views—is imbued with a rich Japanese aesthetic, crafted with meticulous attention to detail. All 27 rooms are designed so guests feel increasingly at ease, enjoying moments filled with deep emotion.
The hot spring water contains metasilicic acid, acting as a “natural skin toner” that refines skin texture and promotes healthy, beautiful skin. The open-air bath, fed directly from the inn’s own spring, is available without time restrictions.
Room types range from traditional Japanese-style to Japanese-Western-style, special rooms, and VIP suites—all with elegant furnishings and views of the surrounding nature from the shores of Oshidori Pond.
Kaiseki-style dishes generously featuring fresh seafood from the Ariake Sea and seasonal vegetables harvested in Unzen and Shimabara, prepared with both boldness and delicacy and served in Arita-yaki porcelain.
